Portland Motorhome Standoff Ends After Two Hours Because of “Chemical Munitions”

An illegally parked motorhome led to a two-hour standoff that led to an arrest of a Portland man, on Sunday morning.

Around 5:10, Portland Police Department reported a motorhome was blocking the area between Elm and Lancaster Streets.

39-year-old Ryan Adams refused to move and reportedly threaten the police with a gun before locking himself in the bathroom of the motorhome.

Portland Police tried to get Adams out of the vehicle by shooting pepper balls, but he still refused to leave.

After the second hour of the confrontation, Adams finally surrendered thanks to more “chemical munitions”.

Adams was charged by the Portland PD with 5 counts including Criminal Threatening with a Dangerous Weapon and was reportedly taken to the Cumberland County Jail.
