Portland Police Arrest Man at Golf Course

A Portland man who stole a car has been taken into custody.

Police say 53-year-old Joseph Earles was arrested early Saturday morning after he was found in the woods at Riverside Golf Course.

According to our info partners at CBS 13 News, Earles had set off an alarm at the course around 4 a.m. and was placing stolen items inside the car when police arrived.

He was taken to the Cumberland County Jail on charges of burglary and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
