Portland Police Say a Portland 7-Eleven Was Held Up Friday Morning


Portland Police say a Portland 7-Eleven was held up early Friday morning. The 7-Eleven located at 1917 Forest Avenue was robbed around 4 a.m by an armed man.

According to police, the suspect showed the clerk a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash. Police also say the clerk was unhurt and no one else was in the store at the time.

Police say the suspect is described as a white male, wearing a gray mask covering the lower part of his face, 5’07, heavy set, bald with light colored hair. He had on glasses along with a gray zippered jacket on top of a maroon crew neck sweatshirt.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was seen running toward the Hannaford parking lot on Riverside where he drove off in a small dark colored sedan toward Washington Avenue. If you have any information, call Portland PD at (207) 874-8575.
