KITTERY, Maine (AP)   The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard is warning Maine residents not to be alarmed by “security activities.”

Officials say a routine training exercise is being held on Tuesday near the shipyard’s Gate 2. Some of the activities may be seen by area residents.

Officials say the training is not in response to any specific threat. Gate 1 will remain open to allow shipyard access during the training.
