Prisoner at Maine State Prison Dies

WARREN, Maine (WGAN) The Maine Department of Corrections says a prisoner has died at the Maine State Prison in Warren.

The department says 53-year-old Paul Rivera of Kennebec County died in prison early Wednesday morning. They don’t suspect any foul play or other suspicious activity.

Maine State Police and the medical examiner were notified.

Rivera had already served a 10-year sentence for Class B Robbery, and was serving another consecutive 1-year robbery sentence when he died. He would have been released on April 19th.
