MAINE (WGME)- An ongoing lawsuit accuses 21 of Maine’s largest banks and private real estate lenders of defrauding homeowners for millions.

According to the Bangor Daily News, the 21 defendants include real estate developer Scott Lalumiere, Camden National Bank, Bangor Savings Bank, and Androscoggin Bank.

All of which are accused of attempting to defraud Mainers out of both money and property at an estimated value of $1.75 million.

Lalumiere’s lawyers state that he claim is preposterous.

This case follows a similar federal case filed against Lalumiere earlier this year in January. Wherein a Milk Street Capital whistleblower claimed the company was fraudulently handling funds, and fired her for not following suit.
