Renowned Gardens Aglow Display Open in Boothbay

Holiday lights are in place in Boothbay at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.

Saturday was the opening day for the Gardens Aglow display, which has been an annual favorite for Mainers and visitors since its 2015 debut.

It features two popular Trolls and a forest with mushrooms and shooting stars.

The Gardens has introduced early bird pricing on dates before Thanksgiving.

The light show is open Thursdays through Sundays thru the end of the year, as well as Wednesday, November 27, Monday December 23, Monday December 30 and Tuesday December 31.

For visits this Wednesday through November 27, adult tickets are $19, seniors and veterans are $17, children ages 3-17 are $10, and a family pass is $48.

Ticket prices from November 29 thru December 31 are $21 for adults, $18 for seniors and veterans, $12 for children ages 3-17, and $54 for a family pass for 2 adults and 2 children.

Gardens Aglow! says more than 780,000 visitors from around New England have visited the light show in its 10-year existence. The Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce is providing shuttles this year from downtown Boothbay Harbor to the Gardens every Friday and Saturday night during Gardens Aglow! The shuttles run continuously from 3:45 p.m. to 9 p.m. from the Boothbay Harbor Town Office to Gardens Aglow.
