Two teenagers are accused of shooting out windows with a slingshot and a BB gun in Rumford.

Rumford police say the two caused more than $2,000 in damage to properties throughout Rumford on August 9 when they shot out nearly a dozen windows.

18-year-old Gregory Everett of New Sharon and a 17-year-old girl from Rumford were charged with felony aggravated criminal mischief.

Another adult and two more juveniles are considered persons of interest in the investigation but have not been charged.

Police believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the crimes.
