WATERBORO, Maine (WGAN) A 20-year-old is facing charges connected to a shooting last year in Waterboro.

York County sheriff Bill King said Zachary Jordan of Sanford confessed to shooting at a home on Townhouse Road in November of 2016. Jordan was a suspect in the investigation, but had denied involvement until making his confession to police on Tuesday.

Two bullets entered the house, one of them ending up in the bedroom of a 20-year-old who Jordan claimed was spreading rumors about a woman.

Investigators uncovered bullet fragments that match a gun that was seized from Jordan.

He’s charged with aggravated reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, but King says more charges are expected. Jordan will appear in court in March.
