Seach of home in Waterboro linked to investigation by police in California

Detectives from California are involved in an ongoing investigation centered around a home in Waterboro.

The FBI and York County Sheriff’s Office were at the home in the 700 block of Main Street in Waterboro last Wednesday, with tents and bins set up outside of a storage unit in the driveway and some officers seen wearing hazmat suits.

On Tuesday, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office in California said their detectives had traveled to Maine to execute the search warrant.

Police said there’s no ongoing threat to the public.

No arrests have been made.

No other details about the investigation have been released.
