Second motorcyclist involved in fatal Bangor crash dies

BANGOR, Maine (WGAN) A second motorcyclist involved in a fatal accident in Bangor over the weekend has died.

Police say 34-year-old Matthew Marquis, of Bangor, died in the hospital Monday evening.

Marquis was riding alongside another motorcyclist, 28-year-old Dillan Springer, also of Bangor, on Saturday night. Police say the two had collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Davis Road and Union Street around 11 p.m. Springer died at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle was not seriously injured.

The crash is still under investigation.
