(WASHINGTON)- Senator Susan Collins said that she met with Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh and had a lengthy discussion about abortion rights. Nominee Brett Kavanaugh met with Senator Collins and other senators yesterday. Senator Collins says that Brett Kavanaugh agreed with what Chief Justice John Roberts had to say at his nomination hearing, which is that Roe v. Wade was “settled law.” This comes after abortion rights activists lobbied against Kavanaugh arguing that he is likely to overturn Roe v. Wade.
