Silver alert canceled after missing Skowhegan woman found safe


SKOWHEGAN, Maine (WGAN)  Maine State Police say a silver alert issued for a missing Skowhegan woman was canceled after she was found safe Monday morning.

Police had issued the silver alert this weekend as they were trying to find 69-year-old Diane Courtemanche.  She had last been seen Saturday morning on French Street.

Police say she was found safe at a friend’s home in Strong Monday morning.
