Single-vehicle crash leaves Hancock man dead

HANCOCK, Maine (WGAN) A Hancock man was killed in a crash on Monday.

Authorities say 39-year-old Anthony Smalley was behind the wheel when his vehicle left the roadway on Route 1 in Hancock and struck a tree head-on. It happened around 7:30 p.m.

Smalley was pronounced dead at the scene.

It’s believed he fell asleep or suffered a medical event.

The crash is still under investigation.
