Police have made an arrest in connection with a bank robbery in South Portland last week.

The robbery occurred at the Key Bank on Gorham Road. The arrest came after photos of a possible suspect were released and police investigated tips from the public. The suspect was identified as Jason Arsenault, a 41-year-old transient. He was located inside a parked vehicle on Mabel Street in Portland and taken into custody without incident Thursday night.

Arsenault was charged with robbery, theft, terrorizing and unauthorized use of property. Bail was set at $25,000, and he was expected to be arraigned Friday.

Police say Arsenault led investigators to the location of nearly all of the $30,000 that was stolen during the robbery.
