A Standish man faces multiple charges after police say he crashed into a Westbrook church early Sunday.

The Portland Press Herald reports an officer on patrol came across the crash around 5:00 a.m.

Police say the vehicle driven by 26-year-old Ian Crouse smashed into the front entryway of the First Baptist Church at Main and Stroudwater Streets.

Crouse was charged with felony drunken driving. It’s a felony because he has three prior convictions for operating under the influence.

Police also discovered that Crouse’s driver’s license had been revoked.
