Student hospitalized after school bus, tractor-trailer collision in Portland

A student was taken to the hospital after a Portland school bus was struck by a tractor-trailer truck Tuesday morning.

The accident happened at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Allen Avenue.

Police say the bus had come to a stop in the left turn lane and the driver of the truck plowed into the back of the bus.

Fifteen students were on the bus at the time.

The one who was taken to the hospital suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.

Police did not immediately announce any charges against the driver of the truck.
