Suspect connected with five robberies in Portland and Falmouth taken into custody

PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) Portland police have arrested a local man who’s been charged in connection with four robberies in the city and another in Falmouth.

Police spokesman David Singer says 41-year-old Joseph Evers was arrested on Monday. He was charged with four counts of robbery stemming from incidents at a CVS, Walgreens, TD Bank and Domino’s between Dec. 4th and Dec. 6th.

He was also charged by Falmouth police for the robbery at the Key Bank on Route 1 in Falmouth on Dec. 10th.
