Suspect in custody following stabbing in Portland

Portland police say they have a suspect in custody in connection with a stabbing.

Portland police said the 51-year-old victim was seriously injured after an argument with a roommate led to a stabbing. It happened around 9 a.m. Friday at an apartment on Gilman Street.

Police said the victim stumbled outside of the building and collapsed on the sidewalk. They were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The suspect has been identified as 34-year-old Noor Ibrahim, who’s been charged with attempted murder and elevated aggravated assault.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
