Teen Hurt in Harrison Crash


HARRISON, Maine (WGAN)  A driver has been taken to the hospital after a crash in Harrison Thursday.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says around 3:20 Thursday afternoon , a 16-year-old female was driving on Summit Hill Road lost control of the vehicle, went off the side of the road and hit a tree.

Police say she had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken by Life Flight to Maine Medical Center.

A 16-year-old passenger in the car was able to get out of the car on her own and was taken to Steven’s Hospital for an evaluation.

Police say speed was a factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
