PORTLAND, Maine (WGAN) Another coronavirus vaccination clinic is opening up in Portland.

The appointment-only clinic at 110 Free Street in Portland can accommodate up to 600 patients a day. It will be open three days a week starting Wednesday, Jan. 5th from 12-6 p.m., as well as Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

First and second dose appointments are available to anyone who is at least 5 years old. Those who are at least 16 years old may receive a booster.

The clinic is offering all three available vaccines. Free parking is also available at 128 Free Street behind Dogfish Bar and Grill.

State health officials are still pushing for residents to get booster shots as cases continue to surge due to the Omicron variant. On the WGAN Morning News on Wednesday, Dr. Dora Mills, Chief Health Improvement Officer for MaineHealth, said preliminary test results over the past couple days suggest that the majority of COVID patients they’re seeing are infected with the variant.
