Tens of thousands of Maine homes and businesses remain without power following a storm that brought heavy rain and high winds to the state Monday.

As of 1 p.m. Thursday, Central Maine Power’s website was reporting about 84,000 outages.

About 28,000 outages remained in Kennebec County, which saw more outages than any other county in Maine on Monday.

The utility says it’s now providing estimated restoration times, and they “expect to have the vast majority of customers restored by the end of the day Saturday.”

According to CBS 13, CMP hopes to have service restored to all customers by Christmas day.

Estimated restoration times can be accessed by visiting CMP’s website.
