SEBAGO(WGME)– After sitting at the bottom of Sebago Lake for 6 months, the “ghost ship”, as it’s been dubbed by locals, was finally being pulled out Saturday.

The boat capsized and sank during a storm last October after it was one of the last ones still moored near Long Beach.

Through the fall and winter residents along the lake were worried about the gas and oil in the boat and what is was doing to the water.

Casey Elizabeth Cobb said that she was at her parent in laws house when the boat went underwater, and debris washed up on their beach where they then cleaned it up.

CBS 13’s I-TEAM did an investigation of this situation, and were able to have the Maine Wardens Service pick a day to remove the boat.
