Maine State Police are investigating a tractor-trailer rollover crash on I-95 in Carmel.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. Monday on the northbound lanes near mile marker 169.

Police say the driver, 61-year-old Donald Leblanc, fell asleep, causing the tractor-trailer to go off the road and hit a ledge before coming to rest on its side in a ditch.

The driver and a passenger, 30-year-old Peter Nickerson, were taken to Eastern Maine Medical center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Leblanc and Nickerson are both from Nova Scotia.
