Two Injured in Baldwin Crash

BALDWIN, Maine (WGAN)  Two people are in the hospital after a head-on crash in Baldwin Wednesday.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 3 p.m. on Route 113 near Crawford Road.

Police say 78-year-old Edward Willet was heading south when he crossed the center line and hit 51-year-old Laura Goforth.

Both were taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland.  Their conditions were unknown, but police say they were not reported to be life threatening.

Route 113 was shut down for a short time following the accident.

Police say speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
