Two teens have been charged in connection with a string of vehicle thefts.

The thefts happened in the towns Orrington and Brewe

The investigation began in late July when Brewer police received a report of an abandoned vehicle, which they determined had been stolen from Orrington.

Over the next month, more vehicles were reported stolen in both towns.

A 15-year-old from Orrington and a 14-year-old from Brewer were each charged on multiply motor vehicle theft counts.

The investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are likely.
