CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine (AP) The U.S. Alpine Championships will head eastward to Sugarloaf in the new year, the resort says.

It’ll be the eighth time – and the first time in three years – that Sugarloaf has hosted the U.S. Alpine Championships, the resort said Thursday.

“Sugarloaf has been a great partner for decades,” said Lindsay Arnold of U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team. “Their hospitality in welcoming the ski racing community is unmatched.

The event, which includes the NorAm finals, will take place from March 20-April 1, about a month after the conclusion of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, China.
