The mass vaccination site at the former site of Scarborough Downs will be closing on Thursday.

That as the demand for vaccines continues to decline, and healthcare providers shift their focus to getting Mainers vaccinated in smaller settings. John Porter is a spokesperson for MaineHealth, which runs the clinic. He told the Portland Press Herald that the clinic was right for the moment, when there was more immediate demand for shots.

About 48% of the entire state population are now fully vaccinated.
