Windham Woman Charged for Assaulting Mother, State Troopers

DAYTON, Maine (WGAN)  State Police say a Windham woman is facing multiple charges after she assaulted her mother and two Troopers.

Police say they were called to a home in Dayton Thursday around 4:40 p.m. for a reported assault.

Police say when they arrived, they learned 20-year-old Charlotte Gorman had assaulted her mother by throwing an antique window down a flight of stairs, hitting her mother in the leg.

Gorman then broke out a window in the home.

Police say Gorman was on the roof and they ordered her to come back inside.  Police say as they tried to arrest her, she became combative, kicking the Troopers several times and injuring one’s hand.

She was charged with two counts of assault on an officer, assault, criminal mischief and criminal trespass.

Her bail was set at $1,100.
