Wiscasset man accused of breaking into home and attacking ex-girlfriend

WISCASSET, Maine (WGAN) A man who police say broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home and attacked her and her son faces several domestic violence-related charges.

The Wiscasset Police Department says officers responded to a 911 hang-up call at a home around 6 p.m. Wednesday. Officers arrived to find 39-year-old Miles Brewer barricaded in a bedroom with his ex-girlfriend and her two kids. Police forced their way in and took Brewer into custody.

Police say Brewer had forced his way into the home to attack the woman, as well as her teenage son when he tried to defend her. Her son used a stun gun against Brewer while his sister called 911.

Brewer was charged with domestic violence aggravated assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, aggravated assault, criminal threatening, burglary, unlawful possession of a scheduled drugs, and OUI. He’s being held at Two Bridges Regional Jail.
