Woman charged in burglary of Fairfield home

FAIRFIELD, Maine (WGAN) A Fairfield woman is accused of burglarizing a home Wednesday evening.

Police responded to a home on Ohio Hill Road in Fairfield around 6 p.m. Wednesday after the homeowners returned to find several items missing.

Police identified the suspect as 38-year-old Rebecca O’Clair after she returned to the property the next morning to retrieve items that had been stored in the woods.

During a search of O’Clair’s home, investigators found the stolen items and arrested her.

She was charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief and taken to Somerset County Jail.

O’Clair is set to appear in court in December.
