BOWDOINHAM, Maine (AP) _ Maine State Police say a woman was found seriously injured inside her home and then died at a hospital.

Police say they responded Monday morning to the mobile home of 55-year-old Beulah “Marie” Sylvester, of Bowdoinham. They found her unresponsive.

Police say Sylvester died late Monday at Maine Medical Center in Portland. The state medical examiner’s office began an autopsy on Tuesday and ruled that the death was a homicide.

Police say detectives spent the day inside Sylvester’s mobile home gathering evidence that will be analyzed at a crime lab. They say there is no danger to the public.
