Woodstock man to spend six years in prison for sexually abusing children

A Woodstock man will spend six years behind bars for sexually abusing two young girls.

According to CBS 13, Michael Smith, 45, was convicted of a dozen charges of unlawful sexual contact.

An Oxford County judge reportedly suspended half of his sentence, so Smith will serve six of the 12 years in prison.

Smith will be on probation for four years following his release.

He must undergo a sex offender evaluation and follow recommendations for treatment.

Smith will also be barred from having contact with any girl younger than 16 and he may have no contact with any of the victims.
