Florida Sex Offender Arrested in Maine

A 34-year-old Florida man is in jail in Maine after failing to register as a sex offender.

U.S. Marshals arrested 34-year-old Christopher Peet at a home in Bangor Wednesday.

Peet is charged as a fugitive from justice and will be arraigned in Maine before being extradited back to Florida.

He’s designated as a lifetime offender in the state of Florida after being convicted 3rd degree incest in New York in 2014.

U.S. Marshals says Peet also has a prior 2020 conviction for failure to register as a sex offender in Florida.
