38 Firefighters Battle Biddeford Apartment Fire

Biddeford firefighters say they were assisted by seven area departments with an apartment fire on Saco Falls Way Saturday night.

There were no injuries, but at least one person was displaced and is being assisted by the Red Cross to find housing.

There were 38 firefighters on the scene to help with an extensive ventilation and salvage operation, and secure electricity to the affected apartments.

The last Biddeford Fire Department units cleared the scene at 9:20pm. Saturday, after about four hours.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Biddeford Fire Department Fire Prevention Division.
