A Fiery Truck Crash on the Maine Turnpike, Delays Traffic for Hours

A tractor-trailer crashed and caught on fire on Saturday morning causing major delays for hours on the Maine Turnpike

State Troppers responded to the crash just before 8am, at a median between the Kennebunk and Biddeford exits, on the northbound side of I-95.

Police believe the driver had suffered a medical event that cause the accident.

The driver, who’s name hasn’t been released, suffered minor injuries and was taken to MaineHealth Maine Medical Center in Biddeford.

The crash is under investigation.
