A graduate student living in Portland is among those who have had the termination of their legal status reversed by the Trump administration.

The American Civil Liberties Union of Maine says the student is choosing not to identify themselves out of safety concerns.

The ACLU said the student never received an explanation for the termination.

A federal lawyer on Friday said U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is now manually restoring the records of international students, though the ACLU said it had yet to get confirmation as of Friday.
