Apparent OUI Driver Takes Police on Wild Chase Through Bridgton

A Otisfield man is in custody after he led police on a wild chase through Bridgton.

After multiple calls to 911 of a white pick-up truck driving erratically, police spotted the truck, which just kept on going.

Despite the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office deploying a tire deflation device successfully, the truck kept on going until it hit a State Police cruiser, which then hit a Sheriff’s Office cruiser.

Police have charged 45-year-old Siggi Hodhr Averysson with multiple charges including OUI and Driving to Endanger.

Averysson, is in the hospital with injuries from the crash and will be taken to Cumberland County Jail once medically cleared.
