Three men face charges after police say a neighbor reported them trying to get into the back of a home in Auburn.
Officers says they were called to a report of a burglary in progress on County Club Drive.
They say when they arrived, the men told them they were helping the homeowner get something, but the homeowner said that wasn’t true.
Police say they also found guns, stolen jewelry and suboxone when they searched the men. They also say the Subaru they showed up in was stolen out of Waterville
The three men, 31-year-old Robert Hermanson, 33-year-old Casey Braley, and 43-year-old Marcus Valencia, face several charges.

Hermanson: Burglary (Class C), Theft by Unauthorized Use of Property (Class E), Violation of Conditions of Release (Class C).
Braley: Burglary (Class C), Violation of Conditions of Release (Class C), Unlawful Possession of Schedule W Drugs (Class D).
Valencia: Burglary (Class C).
Hermanson and Braley were held without bail due to felony charges, while Valencia’s bail was set at $400 with conditions. Items including jewelry, knives, and drug paraphernalia were seized as evidence.
Auburn Police lauded the neighbor who called in the burglary in progress, saying it was a perfect example of “if you see something, say something.”
