Body found on Sears Island identified as UMaine Presque Isle student

A body found on Sears Island last week is that of a missing college student.

21-year-old Chase Dmuchowsky was last seen leaving his dorm on October 24th. He was a student at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

According to the Portland Press Herald, a body matching the description of what Dmuchowsky was wearing was found by hikers on November 26th.

Presque Isle police said his identity was confirmed by the State Medical Examiner’s Office on Friday.
