Police say a Bradford woman stole and then crashed two cars in Bangor on Tuesday.

The Bangor Daily News reports that 28-year-old Rachel Donnelly was driving northbound on I-95 when she crashed a car that she allegedly had stolen from her mother just south of the I-395 interchange.

Police say a passerby stopped to help her, and Donnelly stole that person’s car as well. She then crashed it into a cement barrier three miles up the highway.

Another passerby stopped to subdue her until police could arrive to arrest her.

Donnelly faces two counts each of aggravated criminal mischief and unauthorized use of property. She appeared in court in Bangor on Wednesday, and her bail was set at $1,000.
