Crash in Kennebunk leaves teenage motorcyclist dead

A 19-year-old motorcyclist from Wells was killed when they were hit by a car in Kennebunk Wednesday night.

The crash happened at the intersection of Alewive Road or Route 35 and Walker Road around 6 p.m.

Police say 28-year-old Emma Clough of Sanford was behind the wheel when she struck the motorcycle being driven by Cameron Mahoney, who died at the scene.

Clough was treated at the scene and released.

The crash is under investigation but no charges have been filed.
