Crew Recover Body of Lewiston Teenager After Drowning in the Androscoggin River

The Maine Warden Service has recovered the body of a Lewiston teen who fell into the Androscoggin River, Friday night.

18-year-old Siloe Irumva, was fishing his friends near the Gulf Island Dam on Switzerland Road, when he slipped on a rock while trying to get a fishing lure untangled from a tree branch and fell into the water.

He was swept downstream by the current and went under.

Maine Game Wardens, Lewiston Police and Fire Departments all searched the river Friday night, with authorities locating his body, Saturday.
