Police responded to a tractor-trailer rollover in New Gloucester on Monday.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened on Ricker Road around 10:20 a.m. Monday. The female driver was trapped after the vehicle rolled over, but she was able to free herself.

The trailer was carrying about 9,000 gallons of LP Fuel, but didn’t rupture or leak. The road was expected to be closed for several hours while fuel was removed and the trailer was turned back over.

The driver, Valerie Farnham of New Hampshire, was taken to Central Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are still investigating the crash.

It was the second rollover crash involving a truck in Maine on Monday. A Dysart’s tanker truck went off the road and struck several small trees on Interstate 95 southbound in Wells just before 7 a.m.
