Fire Departments Called In for Cooling System Fire at Biddeford Industrial Business

Biddeford firefighters say it took them about four hours to put out a fire at an industrial business Sunday morning.

Firefighters say they determined the fire on Morin Street required an “all hands” response, and fire vehicles from four other departments were brought in to assist.

Crews say they dealt with a malfunctioning cooling system in the fire and conducted cooling operations for several hours.

The cause and origin of the fire is under investigation by the Biddeford Fire Department Fire Prevention Division.

Biddeford firefighters cleared the scene at 12:45pm. Sunday.

Crews form Arundel, Saco, Goodwin’s Mills and Kennebunk assisted in the scene, while the Biddeford Police Department and Public Works Department assisted with traffic control.

There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.
