Former state representative Clinton Collamore will have to spend 72 hours in jail and complete 100 hours of community service.
It comes after Collamore was charged with 20 counts of aggravated forgery, 11 counts of unsworn falsification and one count of violating the Maine Clean Election Act.
As part of a plea deal with state prosecutors, the felony counts of aggravated forgery were dismissed.
The deal was reached Monday at the Lincoln County Courthouse in Wiscasset.
The Bangor Daily News reports that Collamore will serve his jail time in October.
Republican Abden Simmons won a special election Tuesday to replace Collamore in House District 45, which includes Bremen, Friendship, Waldoboro and Washington.
