Hannaford has issued a recall for its Taste of Inspirations brie products because they could be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.

It’s part of a broader recall issued by Old Europe Cheese, Inc., which is based in Michigan.

Eating food contaminated with listeria monocytogenes can lead to a serious infection called listeriosis.

It’s most likely to sicken pregnant women and their newborns, adults 65 or older and people with weakened immune systems.

Products impacted by the recall include the 8 ounce round triple crème brie and 60 percent brie cut wedge.

The affected products have “best by” dates ranging from September 28 through December 14.
