Police say a Washington County man was killed in a crash after allegedly threatening people at a bar.

Maine State Police say Robert Boggia Jr., 48, of Whiting was pronounced dead at the scene after crashing his car in Charlotte overnight Sunday morning.

Investigators say Boggia had been threatening people with a gun at a bar in Calais and fled before police arrived, with witnesses spotting his Corvette going 150 miles per hour just before the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
