Maine Man Dead in Milbridge Crash

A Columbia man is dead from injuries in a crash Wednesday afternoon on Route 1 in Milbridge.

Maine State Police say 79-year-old Clyde Samuelson Jr. was traveling east in his 2011 Ford pickup truck truck when he left the road and went into a ditch.

Police say first responders tried to save Samuelson’s life, but he died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.

State Police were called the scene on near Route 1 and Sunrise Trail at about 2:23 pm Wednesday.
