New state-backed initiative launches to help Maine businesses boost domestic sales

Gov. Janet Mills unveiled a new initiative to help Maine-based businesses sell their products throughout the United States.

According to CBS 13, Mills visited Flowfold in Gorham to talk about the Domestic Trade Program.

The program will make $6 million in financial and technical assistance grants available to eligible Maine business to help them boost sales domestically.

The initiative is based on a pilot program administered by the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development.
